FRINGE DIVISION CASE FILE #401-92311

FRINGE EVENT: Hybrid Shapeshifters 2.0

CLASSIFIED CASE CONNECTION(S): Shapeshifters

AGENTS ASSIGNED: Dunham, Roach, Frazier, Farnsworth

SUPERVISING AGENT: Broyles

FILE ARCHIVED BY: Gergö Hoffmann, Mariam Al Marwani

WITNESSES/CONTACTS: Agent Dunham [redacted], Special Agent Lincoln Lee

LOCATION: Hartford, Connecticut; Grove Hall Station

VICTIM(S): Agent Frazier (deceased), Agent Roach (wounded), Agent Danzig (deceased), 30 others (deceased), Nadine Park

CASE REPORT SUMMARY:

A rash of attacks led to a witness capturing the image of a semitranslucent man near victim Nadine Park (30). She was attacked at the train station at 10:45 a.m. by the man in her car and thrown into a lamppost. She had a hematoma on her right clavicle and her skin also was affected, the result of heavy metal poisoning. Agents determined that all four kill zones were centered on commuter rail stations, which provided the victim connection. After testing another body, Dr. Bishop determined they were a new biological-mechanical hybrid; an upgrade to previous tech discovered in our universe that creates a Shapeshifter. Immediate discussions opened with Over There to determine if the Shapeshifters were a product of Secretary of Defense Walter Bishop's spy program.

Notable Quotes

DECEMBER: "It is, as it has always been, our responsibility to ensure events play out as they were intended before your intervention. This started with you; it must be you who ends it. They can never know the boy lived to be a man."

OLIVIA about Walter: "He's functional, except when he's not. But he's often quite brilliant. Just never had anything to tether him to the world."

WALTER: "I don't think there's anything sadder than when two people are meant to be together and something intervenes."

WALTER: "People die. It happens. Sometimes they even die twice."
