FRINGE DIVISION CASE FILE #216-4810

FRINGE EVENT: Rapid-onset cancer cases

CLASSIFIED CASE CONNECTION(S): Cortexiphan subject activation

AGENTS ASSIGNED: Dunham

SUPERVISING AGENT: Broyles

FILE ARCHIVED BY: Connor John Rogerson

WITNESSES/CONTACTS: Dr. John Potash, Ken Messing, James Heath (suspect), Timothy Michael Ober, Nina Sharp, Mrs. Lane

LOCATION: Providence, RI; Boston, MA

VICTIM(S): Miranda Greene, Lloyd Becker, Julie Heath, Agent Dunham

CASE REPORT SUMMARY:

Miranda Greene (30), an unmarried class-action attorney, was found dead with acute sarcomas of the face. Dr. Bishop determined that someone had touched her and given her cancer rather than it being normal growth. Another victim, Lloyd Becker (30), was found dead in his home by a neighbor. There was no sign of forced entry or a struggle, but he died of malignancies that appeared to originate on his hand and then spread out.
Wider searches connected to five other similar deaths over the past twenty months, from Chicago to Hartford, in which each victim died from the same rapid-onset cancer. The victims had all been part of the Cortexiphan trials. The killer was determined to be fellow trial subject James Heath, who did not kill on purpose. He explained that a man in the hospital approached him when he was being treated for cancer. Dr. Bishop surmised the man had been hired by consultant Sanford Harris to activate Cortexiphan subjects and told Heath that he could teach him to fight the cancer. It didn't work; Heath got worse, and his cancer-causing ability was just an unfortunate side effect of his Cortexiphan exposure.
