FRINGE DIVISION CASE FILE #214-2410

FRINGE EVENT: Universes colliding/Shapeshifters

CLASSIFIED CASE CONNECTION(S): Dr. Bell and Dr. Bishop's experiments to create a stable door between universes

AGENTS ASSIGNED: Dunham

SUPERVISING AGENT: Broyles

FILE ARCHIVED BY: Balázs Simon, Daniel Liversage

WITNESSES/CONTACTS: Nina Sharp

LOCATION: NYC; Jacksonville, FL

VICTIM(S): Ted Pratchett (deceased)

CASE REPORT SUMMARY:

A quantum tectonic event occurred in New York City when two buildings, one from this universe and one from an alternate universe, converged in the same space. Ted Pratchett, a survivor inside the building, was able to explain the signs of dogs howling and micro-quakes prior to the event. Inside his shirt, Pratchett's alternate body's head was found fused into his stomach. They both died. The Fringe team determined that Thomas Newton was trying to open a doorway from our universe to the other side, and the building was a consequence. They determined another event would happen, where a building over here would disappear and replace the exact mass of the building over there.
Dr. Bishop took Agent Dunham to his former lab in Florida to try to activate her ability via Cortexiphan, so she could "see" items from the other universe and determine the location of the next breach. It worked, and Agent Dunham saw a glimmer around the Brayson Place Hotel on 13th and Washington in New York City. Evacuation was completed without casualties before the building imploded and disappeared.
