FRINGE DIVISION CASE FILE #309-12910

FRINGE EVENT: Reanimation

CLASSIFIED CASE CONNECTION(S): Dr. Bishop and Dr. Bell's Yatsko Project was an interrogation process postmortem

AGENTS ASSIGNED: Dunham

SUPERVISING AGENT: Broyles

FILE ARCHIVED BY: Aitor Salazar

WITNESSES/CONTACTS: Dr. Alexandra Ross, Roland Barrett (suspect), Mrs. Walsh (mother)

LOCATION: Rye, NY

VICTIM(S): Grant Russo, Ben Killenburg, Amanda Walsh (deceased)

CASE REPORT SUMMARY:

9-1-1 received a call that Grant Russo was in need of medical attention. When EMTs arrived, they found him strapped to a table, chest cavity open, his heart missing. The victim regained consciousness, spoke and then died three minutes later. Dr. Bishop determined Russo had been the recipient of a prior heart transplant. A cross-state search of police records turned up multiple organ thefts over the preceding two months. The incidents took place in five different states, but the MO of the crime was consistent, and all stolen organs had originated from the same deceased donor, Amanda Walsh (17).
An investigation revealed that Roland Barrett worked at the Duk-Hee Genetic Institute and that his research contributed to the creation of synthetic life on the cellular level. A victim of severe depression, Barrett met fellow sufferer Walsh and was devastated when she took her own life. Barrett then made it his mission to correct her mistake with the intention of rebuilding and reanimating her by reclaiming her donated organs and then putting them back into her stolen body. Barrett was apprehended, and Walsh laid to rest.
